15cm of snow in the last 24 hours!

Six weeks before the official start of the season, Perisher has received 10 - 15cm of snow since yesterday.

You can see from this shot down near the Perisher terminal how much snow has fallen:

It would be premature to get too excited though… 2006 had a very strong start with an official depth of 24cm on the 2nd of May. Those with as short memory should consult the 2006 snow depth chart for Perisher to be reminded of how truly dismal that year was.
