Snow Depth from 1980 - 2005
The chart below shows the seasonal snow depth from 1980 to 2005.
The worst season is clearly 1982, and the best is 1981.
The best group of years was 1990, 1991 and 1992. The worst group of years are 1997, 1998 and 1999.
A visual analysis shows a peak cycle, 1981, 1992 and 2000. Giving a cycle at about 10 years. This would indicate the next great season some time in 2008 - 2011.
Note: The weather is unpredictable. This is just speculation. You should not use these figures to plan your vacation - because the year you don't ski will probably be the best snowfall in years, and you'll be kicking yourself.
